Dave Fachetti
Managing Director, Globespan Capital Partners
Dave Fachetti is a Managing Director at Globespan Capital Partners, and has more than 20 years of experience working in or with early-stage, high-growth companies. Prior to Globespan, he was a Principal in JAFCO Venture's Boston office, where he focused on enterprise software investments. Previously, Fachetti was at Family Education Network, where he was senior vice president and general manager of FEN's distributed content management software business. Earlier, Fachetti was at Trans National Group where he ran and then successfully sold the company's Canadian credit card business to Bank of Montreal. He began his career at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Fachetti received an MBA, with honors, from Boston University, a BBA, with honors, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and is a CPA.
Sonja Hoel Perkins

Sonja joined Menlo Ventures in 1994. Prior to Menlo Ventures, she was in business development for Symantec Corporation and was an investment analyst for TA Associates. Sonja focuses primarily on Internet, communications and software investments. Her recent investments and board seats include: 3VR, Big Tent, Jobfox, MOG, nCircle and Q1 Labs. Her prior investments and board seats include: Acme Packet (APKT); AssureNet Pathways, acquired by Symantec (SYMC); Eloquent (ELOQ); F5 Networks (FFIV); MailFrontier, acquired by SonicWALL (SNWL); Optical Solutions, acquired by Calix; PassMark Security, acquired by RSA Security (formerly RSAS and now a subsidiary of EMC Corporation); Priority Call, acquired by LHS Group; Recourse Technologies, acquired by Symantec (SYMC); Solidcore, acquired by McAfee (MFE) and Vermeer Technologies, acquired by Microsoft (MFST). Sonja is a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.S. in Commerce) and the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration (M.B.A.). She serves as a director of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists (WAVC), the Foundation Board of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and the Thomas Jefferson Foundation.
George Long
New Brunswick Investment Management Corp.
George Long leads NBIMC's direct private equity investment activities and manages external fund investments in the United States and Europe. Prior to joining NBIMC in 2002, Long was an investment manager at an early-stage venture capital fund focused on the information technology and the life sciences sectors. Previously, he spent a number of years as a commercial banker with a major Canadian bank. Long has obtained a B.Sc., B.B.A. and M.B.A. degrees.
Shaun McConnon
CEO, Q1 Labs, Inc.
Industry veteran Shaun McConnon is CEO of Q1 Labs, where he brings extensive senior management experience in operations, sales, and marketing to the growing network security management company. Prior to joining Q1 Labs in November 2003, McConnon served as CEO of Okena, a next-generation security company, which he led from its inception to its acquisition by Cisco Systems. Previously, McConnon was CEO of Raptor Systems, where he steered that firewall security company through a successful IPO and then its subsequent sale to Axent Technologies (later acquired by Symantec). Earlier, McConnon held various executive positions with Sun Microsystems, most recently as managing director of Australian and New Zealand operations. McConnon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Roanoke College.
Bob Steinkrauss

Bob Steinkrauss is president and CEO of Viridity, the leader in data center energy resource management software. Bob has been a top executive with a strong and successful track record in early to mid-stage companies over the past 15 years. Prior to Viridity, Bob was chairman, president and CEO of ChosenSecurity, Inc., a leading specialist in identity verification and security services. He has also served as president, chairman and CEO of Ingrian Networks, Inc., president and CEO of Xedia Corporation, and chairman, president and CEO of Raptor Systems.
Prior to joining Raptor in 1995, Steinkrauss held a number of executive positions at Racal Electronics PLC, including president and CEO of Racal Interlan, Inc. Steinkrauss received a B.S. in accounting from Boston College, graduating magna cum laude.
Tony Van Bommel
Managing Director, Venture Capital
Tony holds the position of Managing Director for BDC Venture Capital in the Vancouver office. He is responsible for investing and managing venture capital investments in Vancouver for BDC. Prior to this, Tony was a Director in the Halifax office for over 8 years and was responsible for investing and managing Venture Capital investments in Atlantic Canada for BDC.
Tony earned the Dalhousie Governor General's Gold Medal for the top graduate student chosen from all faculties at Dalhousie University and the gold medal from the Dalhousie University MBA program. He also received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Western Ontario where he won the Pitney Bowes Award for the top graduating Law Student in Ontario who combined academics, athletics and service to the community. Tony was the Volunteer Chairman of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement for Nova Scotia and is a Rotarian.
