Overview

We understand your investment in Q1 Labs solutions is best served by a workforce able to go beyond product fundamentals and obtain a level of optimization and productivity supporting your security requirements. Q1 Labs Education Services offer a variety of security intelligence QRadar and QRM product training covering the essential functionality and fundamentals, to experiential Use Models supporting critical thinking and application optimization. 

Education Services recognizes you require a variety of delivery formats supporting learning styles, as well as time and cost requirements.  Because everyone has different learning and business drivers we offer training in two formats.


Instructor- led Training (ILT)

Traditional classroom based instruction comprised of lecture, experiential labs, and use models.  These courses are scheduled globally and are offered as sequential 3 day Open Enrollment or dedicated Custom On-site events supporting tailoring of the course to your requirements, Q1 labs installation and environment.

  • Typical schedule: 3 day course, Tuesday - Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM; Lunch served

Instructor- led Online (ILO)

Browser based virtual classroom instruction comprised of real-time lecture, experiential labs, and use models.  These are identical to the ILT offering and are scheduled with dedicated web lecture sessions (3.5 hrs.), online and self-paced virtual labs and Level II evaluation and a focused review/demo session based on the Level II results. The Open Enrollment ILO schedule supports global time zones and is offered with AM or PM schedules. Custom ILO is scheduled to reflect your requirements.

  • Example AM and PM course format and schedule: Format: The Instructor-Led Online (ILO) event utilizes several delivery components.
  1. Pre-work review of the Student Guide foundational modules: determined by the instructor from course syllabus (below)
  2. Series of 3 ½ hour virtual lecture sessions delivered over 3 consecutive days
  3.  '24 hr. x 4 day' virtual lab environment  for exercise and exploration (off-hour access)
  4. e-Access to the instructor during off lecture hours and within Q1 Lab business operations
  5. Online 'demonstration of learning' or Certification exam
  6. Exam review/demo and Q&A session
